Apartment Renovation Specialist
The Apartment Renovation Specialist is responsible for executing high-quality renovation, repair, and remodeling work across residential units. This role ensures apartments are upgraded, safe, and move-in ready by performing skilled carpentry, painting, flooring, basic electrical and plumbing, and fixture installations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and experienced in residential construction or property maintenance. Key Responsibilities
Perform full and partial apartment renovations, including kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces. Remove and replace cabinets, countertops, doors, trim, and hardware. Complete basic carpentry tasks to include minor framing, drywall hanging, finishing, patching, and texturing. Paint interiors to professional standards, including prepping, priming, and finishing. Replace or repair fixtures such as sinks, faucets, lighting, and appliances. Complete construction cleaning of work space at project completion Conduct minor electrical work such as outlet/switch replacements and light fixture installations in compliance with local codes. Perform basic plumbing tasks including connecting drains, replacing faucets, and fixing leaks. Ensure all work meets safety, building code, and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace. Estimate time, labor, and materials needed for renovation tasks. Communicate project status, delays, and needs to supervisors or property managers. Keep detailed documentation of completed work and materials used. Coordinate with other trades and vendors as needed Interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and team members. Uphold a positive representation of the property management company. Respond to renovation-related service requests in a timely manner. This job description may not encompass all responsibilities and duties, and activities may change with or without notice. Required 2+ years of experience in residential renovation, construction, or maintenance. Proficiency in carpentry, painting, flooring, and basic plumbing/electrical work. Ability to use power tools and construction equipment safely. Strong understanding of renovation best practices and building codes. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Your own basic hand and power tools Preferred Experience working in multifamily housing or property management environments. Certification in carpentry, general construction, or maintenance (optional but beneficial). Ability to read blueprints or renovation plans. Key Competencies Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ lbs Reliability, punctuality, and accountability Work Environment Work takes place primarily inside residential apartments. May involve lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and frequent use of hand and power tools. Occasional weekend or after-hours projects depending on renovation schedules. Position Type:
