Alliance Service Representative I

Job Summary: Supports the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service team in obtaining and processing orders and providing a high level of service to our Alliance customers. Receives and enters orders, provides consistent and timely follow-up on customer inquiries, coordinates and expedites deliveries, processes returns, runs daily reports and resolves customer and order issues. Responsibilities: Essential Functions Includes receiving and entering orders in an accurate and timely manner, processing EDI orders, providing price quotes to customers for existing bill of materials, providing consistent and timely follow-up on customer inquiries and order status, securing pricing from vendors, coordinating deliveries, processing returns and expediting deliveries when necessary, utilizing product knowledge to provide service to the customer, loading and maintaining customer part numbers in the CMIR, adhering to customer product standards, assisting and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers, running daily reports and resolving customer and order issues, assisting customers with billing issues, and assisting with Emergency Response orders. Non-essential Functions Includes attending sales meetings and participating in training programs as required, assisting with sales meetings and trade shows as needed, participating in the implementation and success of marketing plans and strategies, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate. Qualifications: Two-year business/trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience. Strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred. Technical ability to understand electrical systems. 2+ years of prior electrical distribution experience preferred. Working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Internet, and Email. Working knowledge of SAP software preferred. Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills.
