Temporary Part-Time Customer Service Representative
The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking applicants for temporary part-time customer service representatives for the Spotted Lanternfly Call Center. Job duties to include: Serve as the first-line point of contact for external stakeholders interested in reporting a Spotted Lantern Fly sighting and/or looking for additional information and resources Maintaining the overall operation and professional image of the customer-focused call center Respond to and refer customer questions and/or needs, provide appropriate responses/services for the situation, and refer to other department(s)/unit(s) when necessary. Assist with any required reporting with the College SLF team, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, and/or United States Department of Agriculture Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies: Strong customer service skills on the telephone Data entry The ability to use the provided reference materials and provide information about SLF to customers who call in Schedule: The call center is open Monday through Friday, 8-5 PM. We are looking to hire agents to staff the SLF call center who are available to work from April/May through November. Training is held at University Park, but then the position is mainly remote. Compensation: The pay rate for this job is $15.00/hour. Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
