The Work
iMethods is looking for a Payroll & HR Specialist who loves people just as much as they love processes. This role is a key part of our HR team and sits at the center of what makes the employee experience run smoothly—from ensuring payroll is accurate and on time, to welcoming new hires on day one, to helping keep us compliant and confident as we grow. Reporting to the VP of HR & People Development, this person helps make HR both seamless and human.
We’re looking for someone who can balance precision with empathy, structure with flexibility, and compliance with connection. You’ll be a trusted go-to resource for employees and leaders alike—someone who brings clarity to processes while making people feel supported every step of the way. If you enjoy creating positive employee experiences, keeping things organized behind the scenes, and making sure the details are done right, this role is for you.
This is a hybrid, exempt position based in Jacksonville, FL.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Own the full payroll cycle, processing weekly for internal and external employees as well as independent contractors, ensuring everyone is paid accurately and on time Retain payroll records, reports and reconciliations Manage HSA contributions maintaining consistency between Health Equity and Employdrive Own reporting and annual audits for workers compensation, ACA and EEO Manage internal employee pre-hire compliance and onboarding Support pre-hire compliance efforts for consultants following up as needed to ensure on time starts Stay on top of labor laws and HR regulations to keep us in compliance Serve as a go-to for payroll, timesheet and Employdrive questions Assist with Bullhorn administration, owning change requests Maintain electronic employee files ensuring accuracy and security Plan, support and execute employee engagement programs and cultural events Assist with employee recognition initiatives and gifting Be a friendly point of contact for employees—helping them navigate HR processes with ease Assist with HR programs, policies, and benefits administration Recommend process improvements to make HR more efficient and employee-friendly Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Administrative tasks and special projects as needed

Required Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred 1-3 years of HR, payroll, or related experience Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance requirements Experience with HRIS/payroll systems High attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion
