Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney (Borrower‑Side / Acquisitions / Joint Ventures) – 4–15 Years
Locations: New York, NY; Remote (U.S.-based)
Compensation: $140,000 – $500,000
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office) or Remote (senior attorneys)
Bar Admission: Active bar admission required

Candidates Must
Be a licensed attorney (JD required)
Have 4–15 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
Have experience running borrower‑side deals from start to finish
Have strong drafting experience with purchase agreements and JV structures
This Role Is Not Suitable For
Real estate litigators
Lender‑side only attorneys without borrower‑side experience
Candidates without deal ownership or client‑facing responsibility
About The Opportunity We are working with a law firm seeking a Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney to support a growing borrower‑side transactional practice. This role offers significant autonomy, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to run deals independently for private investors, developers, and REITs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Represent borrowers in acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of commercial real estate assets
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and related documents
Run deals from inception through closing as the primary point of contact
Structure and negotiate complex, non‑standard deal terms
Manage multiple transactions simultaneously
What We’re Looking For
4–15 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
Strong borrower‑side deal experience
Ability to run transactions independently
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial mindset and client‑facing confidence
Nice to Have
Experience working with developers, REITs, or private investors
Experience with complex or structured real estate deals
Interest in building or expanding a practice
