Lion Real Estate Group is seeking a Director of Training and Development. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of associates across the organization. This role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of continuous learning, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service within our multifamily communities. The Director partners closely with Operations, Leasing, Maintenance, and Corporate leadership to align training initiatives with business goals and company values.

Vice President of Property Management Travel

Training Strategy & Program Development
Develop and execute a strategic training roadmap for on-site associates (Leasing, Maintenance, Property Managers) and corporate teams. Design and deliver training programs across key disciplines: leasing & sales, customer service, leadership development, operational procedures, technology platforms, and compliance. Create engaging learning content including e-learning modules, in-person workshops, SOP guides, and microlearning resources. Monitor industry trends and adjust training programs to keep the company competitive and innovative.
Operational Excellence & Support
Partner with Regional Managers and Community Leaders to identify performance gaps and tailor training solutions. Implement training programs that directly improve KPIs such as occupancy, conversion ratios, resident retention, and online reputation scores. Support new community acquisitions and lease-ups with onboarding and rapid training deployment.
Leadership Development
Lead initiatives to develop future leaders within the organization through mentorship programs, leadership workshops, and succession planning. Coach and mentor Property Managers and Regional Managers in people management, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
Technology & Systems Training
Oversee training for property management systems (Yardi, Knock, CRM tools, etc.) and operational technology platforms. Collaborate with IT and Marketing teams to ensure training materials reflect current system updates and usage best practices.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Establish metrics to assess training effectiveness and impact on business outcomes. Regularly evaluate program success through surveys, performance metrics, and feedback loops. Continuously refine and evolve training content to meet changing organizational needs.
Requirements
Director of Training and Development – Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in Training & Development within the Multifamily Housing industry. Strong understanding of property operations, leasing strategies, and customer experience standards. Experience designing and delivering both in-person and digital training programs. Proven leadership and coaching skills with the ability to inspire and develop talent. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. NAAEI Credentials (CAM, CAPS, or similar certifications). Experience with AI-driven leasing platforms and technology integrations. Proficiency with property management software (Yardi) and leasing CRM (Knock). Knowledge of adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies.
