Job Description The search landscape has shifted from a list of links to a conversation. As our Digital Marketing Specialist, you will own the technical and semantic strategy to ensure ProviderTrust is the most authoritative "source of truth" for ongoing exclusion monitoring and primary source verifications, whether a user is searching on Google or querying an AI agent like Perplexity, ChatGPT, or Gemini. You aren't just ranking pages; you are building the knowledge base that the future of search depends on.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will own the execution and optimization behind how ProviderTrust is found, understood, and trusted online.
This role sits at the intersection of traditional search, emerging AI Answer Engines (LLMS), content strategy, paid search, and web performance, working closely with growth marketing and product marketing to bridge the gap between technical site health and semantic content authority.
Duties and Responsibilities Search Discoverability - SEO & AEO
Apply emerging best practices for AI search visibility, including optimizing content for Google AI Overviews, answer-engine optimization (AEO), and large language model citation, to ensure ProviderTrust surfaces in AI-generated responses
Research and identify high-value keyword opportunities aligned to key personas and buying groups
Optimize existing web pages, blog posts, and landing pages for on-page SEO/AEO — including metadata, headings, internal linking, and structured data
Partner with freelance content creators to review new content for discoverability before publication
Monitor competitor SEO/AEO strategies and identify gaps or opportunities for ProviderTrust to improve its organic presence
Advise on website content and structure using clear, authoritative formats (FAQs, structured data, concise definitions) that improve discoverability across both traditional and AI-powered search engines.
Maintain sitemap to properly guide AI agents and crawlers, balancing visibility with data protection.
Website Management, Optimization, and Reporting
Manage and monitor technical website health, including site speed, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup
Analyze website performance data using Google Analytics, Search Console, and heatmapping tools (HotJar) to identify improvement opportunities
Produce regular reports and dashboards for Commercial leadership, summarizing organic traffic trends, keyword rankings, and site health
Maintain website hygiene — managing redirects, broken links, duplicate content, and page structure changes
Stay current with Google algorithm updates and proactively adjust strategy to maintain and improve rankings
Track and report on brand citation frequency within AI-native search engines (Perplexity, SearchGPT) and Gemini’s AI Overviews
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with demand generation on paid/organic alignment and landing page strategy for campaigns
Support product marketing by ensuring solution and use-case pages are optimized for healthcare-specific search queries
Contribute to the marketing team's broader KPIs around pipeline and brand visibility
Suggested Skills and Experience
2-4 years of SEO experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS or healthcare technology environment
Demonstrated ability to grow organic traffic and improve search rankings
Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4; experience in AI visibility tools is a major plus
Proficient in WordPress site management, with a focus on technical hygiene (managing plugins, image optimization, and Schema blocks)
Strong analytical skills — ability to translate data into clear insights and recommended actions
Excellent written communication and an eye for content quality in a compliance-adjacent industry
Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and basic CRO principles
You understand that "Search" is no longer just a list of blue links, but a conversation between a user and an AI
