
Senior Associate Model Validation & AI Governance

A Fortune 100 organization is seeking a Senior Associate – Model Validation & AI Governance to join its growing AI & Data function. This is an excellent opportunity for a model risk or validation professional looking to work at the forefront of AI governance within a highly regulated environment.
You’ll play a key role in validating predictive and AI/ML models, partnering with data science, model risk, and business stakeholders to ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance, and effective model controls across the model lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Review and challenge model methodologies, design choices, feature engineering, and evaluation metrics
Conduct independent validation of predictive and AI/ML models, including challenger modeling where appropriate
Translate governance and regulatory requirements into practical validation controls and frameworks
Produce detailed validation reports and executive-ready summaries for senior stakeholders
Define and enhance post-deployment monitoring frameworks covering drift, bias, stability, hallucinations, and model performance
Support the development of AI governance standards, validation templates, and reusable frameworks across emerging AI use cases
Required Experience
Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar
4+ years’ experience in Model Validation, Model Risk, or Model Governance within a regulated environment
Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
Hands‑on experience with models such as regression, GBMs/XGBoost, GAMs, neural networks, and related ML approaches
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Preferred Experience
Exposure to Generative AI / LLM evaluation, prompting, or RAG frameworks
