Overview Edward Jones is seeking a PMO Portfolio Analyst to join the Planning & Analysis team within our Digital organization. The Planning & Analysis team is responsible for the annual financial planning process along with leading the bottom‑up budgeting and forecasting process for the Digital organization to provide senior leaders with spend visibility and help Digital leaders prioritize the highest value work. The PMO Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
Understand Digital cost drivers and identify trends in cost growth to drive Digital financial reporting.
Own the monthly and annual forecasting and budgeting process within a Digital segment.
Review and interpret contracts to inform budget and forecast.
Support annual financial planning process in various capacities.
Explain variances at appropriate levels of detail for different audiences.
Partner closely with Finance to ensure spend alignment and support informed decision‑making.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable deliverables.
Develop tactical plans with clear timelines and milestones.
Coordinate activities across teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Lead planning meetings to ensure stakeholders' questions are addressed.
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and budgets for Digital initiatives.
Read and interpret contracts to understand financial impact and inform how costs should be forecasted in our planning tool.
Identify and execute process improvement with the team to improve forecasting accuracy.
Analyze and explain budget variances at appropriate levels of detail for leadership and stakeholders.
Collaborate with Finance and Digital teams to ensure spend alignment and compliance.
Create and manage project plans with defined milestones and timelines to deliver outcomes.
Provide insights into cost drivers and trends to support strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
4–6 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or forecasting.
Project management experience with ability to create tactical plans and manage timelines.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret contracts and assess financial implications for forecasting.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across functions.
Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, budgeting software).
Preferred Skills
Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM) tools, such as Apptio.
Ability to draw insights from data for storytelling and variance analysis.
Experience in Digital or Technology organizations.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
Salary Hiring Minimum:
$86,300
Hiring Maximum:
$146,700
