
Commercial Contract Manager
Siemens, Peachtree Corners, GA, United States
The Commercial Contract Manager will be responsible for support and governance of all commercial aspects during the Sales phase, including, but not limited to, contractual reviews, contract negotiation, close collaboration with the Application Engineering, Business Development, and Project Management organizations. The role can be based out of Peachtree Corners, Georgia (Part of Greater Atlanta) or remote (must be self-starter) if qualified.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct and coordinate commercial contract reviews and negotiations for customer contracts (master agreements, blanket agreements, purchase order terms and conditions)
Coordinate inter-department reviews and changes to customer contracts
Successfully identify commercial risks and draft proposed changes to contract documents, as required, to ensure compliance with Siemens’ requirements and current operational standards
Timely communicate commercial risks and required contract changes to managers and application engineers
Ensure stakeholder alignment and preparation of all necessary internal approval documents (risk checklist, inter-departmental reviews, management approvals, etc.)
Assess contract risk profile for accuracy within established the Limits of Authority (LoA) tool.
Ensure adherence to internal LOA guidelines
Drive collaboration from the legal department and business segment heads for negotiation strategy development, contract document revisions, approval documentation for non-standard terms, and signature authority compliance.
Ensure timely follow up of key issues.
Regularly provide updates of current workload to team lead & manager.
Maintain active involvement with Project Management Team during project handoff to ensure contract terms are understood by execution team.
Review purchase orders for compliance with master agreement or project specific terms.
Complete review and negotiations for Non-Disclosure Agreements, Letters of Intent (LOI), Supplier Forms, and other miscellaneous agreement requests – specific assignments may be adjusted depending on volume.
Assist in development of department tools, templates, and resources.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in acquisition and contract management, business administration, law, or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in reading comprehension of complex documents
Excellent analytical, negotiation and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and effectively shift focus to initiate problem solving strategies as priorities change
Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of contract law
Familiarity with commercial litigation
Legal, finance, contract management or project management experience in the commercial construction industry
Preferred Skills
Demonstrated business acumen and sound judgment in making independent decisions with evolving information.
Must possess strong written and oral communications skills.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with strong self-direction and minimal need for oversight, in a highly matrixed, high-volume, fast-paced environment.
