Senior UX Designer Job Description We're looking for a Senior-Level Design Systems UX Designer to help shape and scale our design system across a growing suite of products. Someone who is passionate about defining patterns, reducing design fragmentation and creating systems that help teams move faster and build better experiences.

This role requires strong design expertise and the ability to collaborate closely across teams. You’ll be instrumental in evolving our design system, defining patterns and guidelines that scale and helping guide how the system is applied across our products. You’ll also mentor designers and partner with stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality user experiences and support the adoption of a design system that grows with our products.

What You’ll Do:

Build, maintain, and evolve the design and development of Beast Code’s design system and standards, working alongside contributing designers and engineers

Ensure design decisions are clearly defined, documented and consistently applied across products

Maintain alignment between design intent and product deliverables

Define and document component anatomy, variants, states, and behaviors

Collaborate with and support designers to evolve our long-term product vision, design systems, and internal design collaboration process

Unblock product teams during system adoption

Write clear, practical documentation that helps designers understand, adopt and use the design system correctly

Champion accessibility across all components, ensuring WCAG compliance in real products

Serve as a mentor for designers in system thinking and best practices, supporting how they contribute to and use the design system

Partner with engineering teams to ensure shared understanding of system practices, resources, and updates

Lead knowledge sharing efforts and being an advocate for the design system with internal and external engineers

Qualifications:

5-8+ years of UX, Product or UI Design

Strong experience working with or contributing to a design system

Proficiency in Figma + other modern front-end technologies

Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design and accessibility

Experience rolling out design system updates to multiple teams and supporting adoption

Comfortable operating in engineering workflows (version control, PRs/MRs, etc.)

Experience collaborating across design and engineering teams

Bonus Points:

Experience with design system governance at enterprise scale

Familiarity with design system tooling (Storybook, Chromatic, token management platforms)

Experience building internal tooling to improve design-engineering collaboration

Basic knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)

Pay Bands: Designer I: $59,800.00 - $93,300.00

Designer II: $72,700.00 - $115,000.00

Designer III: $89,600.00 - $141,500.00

Designer IV: $109,100.00 - $164,900.00

Designer V: $128,000.00 - $198,900.00

Designer I Work is closely managed. Work on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.

Designer II Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.

Designer III Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.

Designer IV Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role of the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Typically requires 7+ years of related experience.

Designer V Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.

Other Requirements:

Currently hold or have eligibility to obtain and maintain the proper US DoW issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.

Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license
