Overview

Lynker Corporation is a leading provider of innovative solutions in weather and climate science. The Marketing Technical Service Provider will support the development and tracking of a marketing and market expansion incentive program for Lynker’s USDA NRCS Hawaii-Grown Partnership award (Award NR233A750004G050). The program aims to provide direct financial support to Hawaiʻi agricultural producers to help production and marketing of Hawaiʻi-grown commodities, including avocado, beef cattle, breadfruit, coffee, timber, tropical fruit and vegetables. The project anticipates at least 6,500 acres of implementation and $26,000,000 in direct financial assistance for approximately 150 producers over the award lifetime. The provider will liaise with project partners, stakeholder organizations, marketing consultants, and agricultural producers to understand market channels and assess economic benefits and will promote the program publicly and with partners to connect producers to existing and potential new markets. Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to co-create and administer a marketing and market expansion incentive program framework. Support the collection, validation, and stewardship of federally required reporting data, ensuring accuracy and impact assessments of marketing efforts. Co-develop producer contracting, track invoice submissions and eligible costs verification for the marketing and market expansion incentive program, and oversee distribution of funds in liaison with the Marketing Coordinator. Liaise with subawardees and other local food system stakeholders to understand marketing efforts around the state and use that insight to guide, mentor, and inform producers participating in the program. Support high-level partnership alignment with statewide stakeholder organizations, policymakers, food system and marketing experts, and buyers to assess market opportunities and incorporate feedback into the program development. Showcase and promote the Partnership's marketing efforts publicly (website, social, email, events, and reporting). Collaborate with stakeholders to disseminate consumer education about Hawaiʻi-grown commodities and facilitate producer participation in trade shows and conferences to expand markets for specialty crops. Qualifications

Required Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, agriculture or similar field and at least 5 years of progressive responsible work experience. Fluency in Hawaiʻi cultural norms and respectful conduct when interacting with project partners, subcontractors, farmers, and agricultural stakeholders. Strong knowledge of Hawaiʻi communities, places, and agriculture; based in Hawaiʻi. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills across government, private sector, and agriculture. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, professional environment. Preferred Master’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Experience implementing federal grant programs. Existing relationships with Hawaiʻi producers, retailers, or institutional purchasers. Understanding of food retail, agricultural markets and value chains, and knowledge of local/ national/ international labelling and branding efforts (e.g., Buy Local campaigns, organic labeling). Working environment

Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Work is performed in a home office and community settings. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel interisland. Reports to the Marketing Coordinator at Lynker. About Lynker
