We are seeking a dedicated Medical Nutrition Sales Specialist to join our team in California. The role is fully remote with the option to work from a home office. The West territory covers CA, OR, WA and includes remote coverage for NV and HI.
Responsibilities
Drive metabolic and ketogenic product sales in the territory based on quotas set by sales management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals (neurologists, epileptologists, geneticists, RDs, NPs, RNs).
Educate medical professionals about the benefits and applications of the ketogenic diet for epilepsy.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for providers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in medical nutrition and epilepsy treatment.
Target key HCPs and engage consumers through strategic metabolic & ketogenic patient events.
Engage with additional call points including local HHC/DME partners, State DOH, pharmacies, and distributors.
Build partnerships with key customers and accounts.
Plan and conduct in‑services, continuing health education programs, and regional meetings to drive brand growth.
Represent Nutricia at industry trade shows when beneficial.
Collaborate with regional DME and distribution partners to increase sales.
Facilitate metabolic & ketogenic consumer events.
Develop a strategic territory business plan focused on access, coverage, and fulfillment.
Provide analytic insight into territory data, issues, and opportunities.
Manage the annual budget for territory activities and programs.
Deliver quarterly or bi‑annual business reviews with key partners.
Use sales force automation tools and Power BI to document contacts and monitor sales results.
Attend corporate and national/regional sales meetings.
Participate in ongoing training and testing for products and methodologies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
5+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, nutrition, or medical equipment (DME/HHC) industry, or 5+ years of clinical experience in healthcare settings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Must reside in the assigned territory.
Preferred experience with neurologists, epileptologists, or keto centers; established network within the neurology and epilepsy communities; background in medical nutrition or a related field.
Strong business acumen, advanced selling skills, polished presentation style, and ability to interpret market research.
Salary & Benefits Salary range: $90,000–$115,000 USD, plus performance‑based bonus.
