About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director for Project Finance to play a pivotal role in the expansion of its senior leadership capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the origination, structuring, and execution of all project finance transactions across the company's portfolio, with a focus on debt, tax equity, and structured equity financings. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in executing complex project financings, deep expertise in tax equity structures, and strong relationships with financial institutions. The Managing Director will also be tasked with taking primary responsibility for financing strategy and execution, managing a large and growing pipeline of utility-scale energy storage projects, and ensuring high-quality execution across multiple concurrent transactions.
Applicants for the Managing Director position should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in renewable energy project finance, structured finance, or capital markets, and a background in leading or managing teams within a high-performing environment. The role requires the ability to operate at a senior, strategic level while remaining hands-on in execution, as well as experience in both project-level and corporate-level financing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the economic evaluation of project opportunities, be adept at building and maintaining relationships with various financing partners, and be capable of contributing to the development of the company's capital markets strategy. A high-growth or scaling platform environment experience is strongly preferred, and the candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
