New Healthcare Finance Organization is Looking to hire Medicaid Enrollment Specialists to Work with Long Island/Queens Hospital!

Salary $65,000 per year.
About the Role The Patient Advocate / Enrollment Specialist is responsible for enrollment of eligible hospital patients into the Third Party Health Insurance Premium Payment Program (HIPP) at our Hospital partner in Manhattan. The role includes clearly presenting program requirements to interested patients and families, serving as a patient advocate, and supporting high‑cost and medically complex Medicaid beneficiaries in affording employer‑sponsored health insurance through the Patient Helper Program.
Responsibilities
Create a positive patient/client relationship and serve as the onsite contact of our organization.
Develop and maintain relationships with patients, key hospital personnel and other appropriate individuals.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Nursing, Education, or Psychology preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred five years of internal patient‑related, hospital experience.
Must be positive, enthusiastic, have a can‑do attitude and enjoy working with a variety of people.
Demonstrated history of success in sales and healthcare strongly preferred.
Ability to speak English as well as Spanish; fluency in Spanish a big plus.
Ability to be onsite most days with an adaptive schedule to accommodate patients.
Must pass hospital credentialing including all vaccines, drug & alcohol testing.
Experience with NY Medicaid preferred.
