Florida Lawyers Assistance, Inc. (FLA) is a statewide, independent nonprofit (est. 1986) that confidentially supports lawyers, law students, and judges facing substance use or mental health concerns. FLA has helped thousands of legal professionals thrive both personally and professionally.
This Director-level, non-treatment role focuses on education, outreach, and support. While you will guide participants, all clinical care is provided by independent third-party providers.
Ideal Candidate
JD/lawyer with legal practice experience and knowledge of recovery Clinical experience or knowledge of substance use/mental health treatment (preferred) Familiarity with recovery programs and resources Key Responsibilities
Deliver presentations across Florida on substance use, mental health, stress, and burnout Build relationships with law firms, schools, and legal organizations Develop outreach materials (social media, email, etc.) Guidance & Support
Provide confidential consultations to legal professionals Respond to calls related to substance use or mental health concerns Collaborate on participant support and monitoring plans Serve as Case Manager, tracking compliance with recovery agreements Communication & Administration
Coordinate with employers, providers, The Florida Bar, and Bar Examiners Manage scheduling, correspondence, and records Location & Travel
Tampa-based, hybrid role Occasional statewide travel for presentations and meetings Qualifications
