Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Director of Sales to drive revenue growth in the pump and rotating equipment sector, with a particular emphasis on critical infrastructure applications. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, executing our sales excellence program, expanding market share, expanding verticals, and cultivating strong customer relationships for The Rapid Group.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and revenue in critical infrastructure sectors such as municipal water systems, power generation, transportation, commercial and industrial facilities.
Play a key role, working directly for the EVP of Business Development & Acquisitions, in leading an experienced sales team, to further identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
Hands‑on leadership of company sales teams across all current and potential acquired company subsidiaries.
Practice and drive best practices to achieve company revenue targets.
Drive CRM best practices for scalable results.
Provide technical expertise and consultative sales support to customers on pump and rotating equipment solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and engineers.
Track and report sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
Qualifications
Proven sales leadership within the industrial services, preferably within municipal and/or commercial markets.
Experienced in using CRM platforms, such as HubSpot, for lead generation, deal management and customized dashboards.
Strong business development skills with a history of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and prioritize opportunities effectively.
Strong critical thinking skills and a customer‑centric approach.
Familiarity with municipal, industrial, and commercial applications of pump and rotating equipment is a plus.
A degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for the sales team’s performance to achieve sales activities, pipeline and quota.
Director will have their own sales quota as well as manage sales team’s quota achievement.
Perform quarterly review of sales representative’s performance.
