Overview
Pinterest's Business Marketing team is seeking a highly operational Director, Partner Marketing to lead advertiser marketing via Pinterest's third-party partnerships, develop co-marketing strategies with key partners and contribute to Pinterest's revenue goals. This role is highly operational in nature, with a strong focus on designing a growing organization, aligning with cross-functional partners on roles, responsibilities, and ways of working, and partnering with senior leadership to further develop Pinterest's partner marketing capability. You will provide senior leadership for a small and mighty team, and as a player-coach, you will lead key partner marketing workstreams while setting the vision, managing resources, and developing the capabilities of your team. Vision and Strategy: Architect a long-term vision for the partner marketing function at Pinterest in partnership with cross-functional teams. Player-Coach Execution: Lead key partner marketing workstreams, including events, webinars and content marketing campaigns to increase consideration for Pinterest's advertising solutions and drive revenue. Team Leadership and Talent Development: Create a culture that emphasizes constructive feedback, ongoing learning and development, and communicates its value to the organization. Operational Rigor and Accountability: Build tracking mechanisms that create accountability for the team’s progression. Drive velocity, remove obstacles, and enable high-quality results for priority initiatives. Organizational Design and Capability Building: Plan resourcing needs and recruit where necessary; identify capabilities needed to meet current and emerging talent needs. Cross-Functional Alignment and Influencing: Collaborate with senior-level partners on complex business challenges and develop stakeholder engagement strategies for projects. AI-Powered Marketing Execution: Leverage AI tools to accelerate asset development (events, webinars, co-marketing) and champion emerging tools to improve efficiency and strategic output. Data-Driven Optimization Through AI: Use AI-assisted analytics to surface insights, identify trends across campaigns, and inform resource investment; foster a team culture that treats AI as a core partner in planning and measurement. What we’re looking for
15+ years of experience in business marketing, with at least 10 years in partner marketing. Proven experience leading teams and capability-building in partner marketing, ideally at a similar or competitive platform to Pinterest. Mastery in Influencing: Ability to influence actions, behaviors, or perspectives without direct enforcement. Mature Decision Quality: Data-driven decision-making with stakeholders; willing to make tough trade-offs for the business. Comfort with Ambiguity: Provide direction in uncertain situations and help others adapt to change. Values Differences: Support inclusion and belonging, leveraging diverse perspectives to create value. AI Fluency and Adaptability: Proactive in exploring how AI can improve team output and campaigns; coach and inspire the team to embrace AI as a collaborative partner.
