Senior IT Business Analyst (Process-Focused)
Location:
Windsor, CT (preferred) or Houston, TX
Schedule:
Hybrid – onsite Monday–Thursday
Overview We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst who thrives in a process-driven, stakeholder-facing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving deep into business workflows, facilitating requirements discussions, and producing high-quality documentation that bridges business needs with technical solutions.
This is not a project management or reporting role - we are looking for a true Business Analyst who is passionate about process modeling, requirements elicitation, and business engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering sessions and workshops with business stakeholders
Analyze and document current and future state business processes
Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
User stories and acceptance criteria
Process flows and swimlane diagrams
Partner with technical teams to translate business needs into system solutions
Support scope definition, business case development, and backlog refinement
Ensure traceability between requirements and technical solutions
Participate in testing, UAT support, and validation of deliverables
Collaborate across business and IT teams to drive alignment and clarity
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience as an IT or Digital Business Analyst
Strong experience with business process analysis and process modeling (swimlane diagrams)
Proven ability to lead stakeholder interviews and requirements workshops
Experience writing clear, structured documentation (BRDs, user stories, functional specs)
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Salesforce or enterprise internal systems
Basic knowledge of SQL, data mapping, or entity relationship diagrams (ERDs)
BA certifications such as CBAP or CCBA
Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams
