
Senior Alternative Investments Strategic Account Manager

About This Position
T. Rowe Price, a premier global asset‑management organization with more than 85 years of experience, is seeking a Senior Alternative Investments Strategic Account Manager to lead the development and execution of sales and relationship‑management strategies for alternatives distribution across U.S. intermediary channels. The role focuses on building and strengthening relationships with large, sophisticated platforms—including broker‑dealers, RIAs, banks, and other intermediary firms—to expand the firm’s presence in the advisor‑sold market and drive new business development.
The Senior Strategic Account Manager will own key strategic client accounts, identify and qualify opportunities, build trusted advisor relationships, and deliver tailored solutions that align with client objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of client businesses, market dynamics, competitive positioning, and the wealth‑management channel.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic account plans to generate and expand revenue pipelines across priority platforms.
Manage and grow relationships with high‑profile, complex clients, ensuring satisfaction, responsiveness, and effective issue resolution.
Serve as a consultative partner to clients by aligning T. Rowe Price’s private‑equity, co‑branded, and evolving suite of private‑markets strategies with client needs and long‑term growth objectives.
Drive new business development with strategic prospects and convert opportunities into sustained partnerships.
Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and client priorities to inform strategy and positioning.
Coordinate cross‑functional resources and collaborate across business units to deliver integrated solutions.
Ensure adherence to sales practices, operational standards, and risk‑management protocols.
Qualifications Required
Proven experience working with national account relationships or sales professionals.
College degree required; advanced degree or designation (e.g., CFA, CAIA, CIMA) preferred.
Series 7 & 63 licenses required.
Experience with the U.S. investment‑distribution landscape—including broker‑dealers, RIAs, banks, and retail platforms.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and relationship‑management skills.
Preferred
Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation delivery.
Significant travel required.
FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are required for this role and will be supported.
Work Flexibility Full‑time remote work is an option.
Base Salary Ranges Location‑specific compensation ranges:
$182,000 – $330,000
(current in Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers) and
$182,000 – $330,000
in Washington, D.C., New York, and California. Placement within the range is based on individual experience and skills. Base salary is one component of the overall compensation package and may include a discretionary bonus.
