Pay range: $73,000.00 - $132,000.00.

Role Responsibilities A Marketplace New Business Development Manager, Alliances supports Target+ Marketplace through Strategic Partnership Enablement by enabling strategic partners, including agencies and internal enterprise teams, to effectively represent the Marketplace and generate high‑quality seller leads. Responsibilities include managing agency partnership programs, new agency acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing agency growth initiatives; developing partner enablement programs, training, and toolkits; creating scalable resources to educate partners on Marketplace value and seller profiles; working closely with sales operations to support partner‑sourced lead flow; acting as the primary enablement point of contact for strategic partners; and measuring partner effectiveness to optimize enablement approaches.
Additionally, the role focuses on Lead Generation Marketing by leading the execution of industry events and marketing initiatives that attract and convert new Marketplace selling partners. Duties include owning the execution of industry event strategy, external marketing campaigns, Target+ website strategy and content enhancements, development of Marketplace partner case studies and success stories, and delivering high‑quality leads through targeted email campaigns, webinars, and educational events.

About You
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in digital sales, business development, or merchandising.
Experience with corporate contracting and knowledge of basic legal, operational, and financial terms preferred.
Experience building and managing a wide pipeline of external prospective vendors/business partners preferred.
Strong relationship‑building and communication skills, able to manage discussions with both internal teams and external partners.
Ability to analyze and respond to market data, trends, and guest insights to support sourcing strategies.
Familiarity with digital marketplaces and an understanding of the DTC landscape preferred.
Experience in a project management or operational excellence role, with a demonstrated ability to manage priorities and execute strategies effectively.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. The core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location assigned and virtually, depending on the specific tasks for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
