Mid-Level UX Designer
Location: Hybrid - Austin, TX (Onsite Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Schedule: Full-time (8 AM - 5 PM)
Duration: 18-month contract (potential to extend)
Compensation Range: $45.00 - $53.12/hr W2
We are seeking a high-performing Mid-Level UX Designer to join our Marketing Creative Center in Austin. In this role, you will champion our Digital Design System (DDS), creating the foundational components and patterns that empower web builders to deliver intuitive, coherent experiences across web, email, and mobile platforms.
You will balance independent execution with deep collaboration, working alongside a distributed team of designers, researchers, and developers to ensure our digital ecosystem remains scalable, accessible, and user-centric.
Responsibilities
Build and enhance DDS components in Figma using atomic design principles, ensuring they meet mobile and small-screen requirements.
Design dynamic web applications and digital tools, such as calculators and lead generation forms.
Author detailed specifications and publisher guides to support seamless handoffs and consistent implementation.
Collaborate with Front-End Developers (FEDs) and UX Researchers to validate designs through testing and bring them to life.
Maintain organized file structures and adhere to strict Brand guidelines and system protocols.
Serve as a subject matter expert for the DDS internally and with external agency partners.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in UX Design or a related role.
Expert proficiency in Figma (specifically component architecture and documentation).
Strong background in atomic design and maintaining design systems.
Solid understanding of current WCAG accessibility standards.
Mastery of layout, typography, color theory, and composition.
Familiarity with Jira/Agile workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using research insights and data to iterate on designs.
Polished presentation style with the ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders.
Comfortable working within a distributed team model and adapting to feedback.
Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS).
