Overview Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to join our innovative team with the mission of Fighting Blindness For The World To See. This position will be responsible for providing accurate fundus, anterior segment, and external photography as ordered by the eye care provider while maintaining patient flow and communicating appointment status within a high‑volume practice. The role is based at our San Antonio clinics. Candidates must be able to travel to various clinics to meet patient and provider needs and support clinic hours Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Schedules are provided weekly and may include weekend hours. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits Short‑term disability, voluntary life insurance, accident and critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity, and pet insurance HSA pre‑taxed contributions and 401(k) retirement savings with both Roth and Traditional options Long‑term disability and a basic life insurance policy of $25,000 3% 401(k) safe harbor contribution and annual performance merit increases Certification opportunities, rewards and recognition platform, WellHub Starter Plan, gym membership, paid time off, 8 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday annually Responsibilities Perform fundus, anterior segment, and external photography as ordered by the eye care provider Conduct intravenous fluorescein angiographies and/or indocyanine green angiographies as ordered Perform scanning computerized ophthalmic diagnostic imaging (e.g., OCT, HRT) as ordered Obtain informed consent for angiography procedures Process film, mount and label slides, maintain a film log, and back up digital databases regularly Maintain cameras, related equipment, and inventory of supplies Maintain all patient‑related records pertaining to imaging systems Document records of work performed Obtain images for physician presentations as necessary Perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience Two to three years of experience in ophthalmic photography and digital imaging CRA and JCAHPO certifications preferred CPR certification required Essential Skills and Abilities Knowledge of ocular anatomy Computer literacy Excellent communication skills Strong team orientation Physical Abilities Normal range of eyesight to perform necessary tasks involving photographic imaging and slide/film development Ability to work in a small, dim‑lit or dark room RCTX is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, military service, veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected class under applicable law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
