Cybersecurity System Administrator Join the dynamic team at Aerodyne Industries and support mission‑critical systems at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC). This role focuses on deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cybersecurity tools, ensuring system hardening, and handling vulnerability management across multi‑platform environments.

Responsibilities

Deploy, monitor and maintain cybersecurity tools (EDR, SIEM, etc.) across multiple systems.

Collaborate with team and system owners to proactively identify and resolve potential technical issues and improve assigned system’s security posture.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cybersecurity tool performance, data accuracy, and availability.

Ensure that systems are hardened and maintain compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Perform periodic systems upgrades and patches in between critical operations.

Proficient with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus, and analyze vulnerability scan results to assess risk levels and prioritize remediation efforts.

Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues encountered by system administrators.

Define, document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 15 years of experience in an IT field of specialization.

Experience in Linux/Unix/Windows system administration.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation of tasks.

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Other Essential Functions
