As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with clients, promoting our services, and driving business growth. You will also be responsible for developing account strategies, negotiating contracts, and providing exceptional customer service. Strong healthcare sales and account management experience will allow them to drive client retention, client satisfaction, and growth goals. This role entails frequent communication with clients, collaborating with internal teams, and staying up to date with industry trends. You will be a self-starter with proven leadership skills, working with multiple departments and taking accountability to ensure positive outcomes. This individual excels in leadership and possesses an in-depth knowledge of the PBM environment and the broader healthcare system. **Role and Responsibilities*** Leverage knowledge of PBM and pharmacy industries to provide a consultative approach to ensure clients receive the highest level of service from LucyRx.* Be viewed by clients as a trusted advisor that is critical to supporting their business.* Ability to lead and conduct discussions with client executive leadership.* Develop and own business plans for clients within the book of business. Manage plan through to completion.* Responsible for aligning with the client’s core business objectives, establishing and managing shared goals, and clearly demonstrating the value and impact of LucyRx programs.* Identify the priorities for clients within your book of business as well as for the organization and direct/guide team members to execute and complete those priorities.* Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with clients to evaluate benefit plan performance, assess pharmacy utilization patterns, and collaborate on strategic initiatives to manage pharmacy benefit trends.* Demonstrate how each of the renewal levers work and how they integrate to develop the overall financial picture for the client-present the financial strategy to leadership.* Master escalation by keeping leadership informed but not needing direction on next steps.* Ability to delegate operational activity to account manager, clinical account executive and other team members to while still maintaining brief knowledge of issues and being able to provide guidance without getting directly engaged.* Proactively stay informed of industry news and strategically provide the information to clients as their trusted advisor.* Mastery level knowledge of LucyRx value proposition and programs.* Lead the request for proposal process from beginning to end including developing the renewal strategy, overseeing proposal responses and managing the finalist presentations.* Support finalist meetings for the sales team showcasing deep expertise of our account management service model.* Lead through example and action the LucyRx culture, mission, and values.* Maintains a complete understanding of client contract terms including but not limited to the monitoring and reporting of performance guarantees. Ensure that all assigned contracts are monitored and reported as stated in the terms.* Manage the executive sponsor process ensuring strong c-level relationships and value between LucyRx and our clients.* Mentors account team members including Account Executives and Account Managers.* Build and maintain strong client stakeholder relationships at all levels via timely and effective communication including phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.* Own contracting processes including negotiations and ongoing compliance to contract/agreement terms.* Participate in the resolution of escalated client issues as needed in cooperation with supporting internal departments.* Assist with onboarding and implementing new business to provide a cohesive incoming client experience.* Identify market and organization needs and support business development efforts by sharing information with internal key stakeholders to improve client experience and drive organization success and efficiency.* Assists in identifying business line issues and defining stop-gap solutions and long-term solutions.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Qualifications and Education Requirements*** Requires a BA/BS in Business, HealthCare Administration or related field, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an account executive, managing own book of clients that are moderate to complex in nature* 5+ years of pharmacy benefit management (PBM) industry experience and understanding of healthcare and insurance industry* Strong account management, project management, sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication, both written and oral, and interpersonal skills* Strong presentation skills to all levels of employees* Ability to be a trusted partner and advisor and be able to influence internal and external partners* Proven track record of meeting and exceeding client retention and upsell targets* Proficient in Microsoft Office* Ability to travel frequently including overnight stays. 25%-50% **Preferences*** Hands on and demonstrated experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry* Solid understanding of PBM Operations including claims submission and processing, and familiarity with medications and their uses.* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations**Physical Requirements**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This is a largely sedentary role; however, some standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required.
