A day in the life This is a hybrid position, based out of our Miami (Doral) or Fort Lauderdale office, that may require in‑person client‑facing meetings. You will work closely with a Producer to develop strategy and support a book of Employee Health & Benefits clients. Your responsibilities include strategy, renewal & marketing, compliance, open enrollment, implementation, servicing, and project management oversight for all assigned clients. Responsibilities Partner with the producer to lead overall strategic management efforts and focus of client engagement. Prepare annual planning timelines and set deadlines. Stay up to date on current benefit trends and regulations. Lead negotiation efforts with vendors. Provide guidance, direction, and support as needed to Account Manager and internal resources for all deliverables, including quarterly meetings. Review monthly claims financial reporting prepared by the Financial Analyst to determine how annualized costs are tracking versus projected costs, and discuss results with clients. Develop renewal and marketing strategy, conduct proposal reviews and benefit and rate comparisons. Prepare contribution modeling and budget scenarios as needed. Update Agency Management System. Play a more active role in renewal and marketing efforts for complex lines (ASO, Stop Loss, Disability). Handle multi‑state complex clients and escalated or complex service inquiries. Ensure client compliance via compliance audits, testing, affordability calculation, etc. Own the oversight and execution of all client deliverables throughout the year, delegating where appropriate and performing final review of presentations for accuracy before delivery to the Producer. Foster positive working client relationships at all levels – HR, Finance, Decision‑makers, and C‑Suite – in concurrence with Producer(s) and inform producers of any significant changes relating to the client. Present to C‑Suite. Coordinate with other resources where applicable: Compliance, Communications, Implementation, Technology, etc. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Active and current Florida 2‑15 insurance license. 10+ years of experience working in the health insurance industry; agency experience preferred. Experience with mid‑size carriers. Experience with self‑funded accounts. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally. Experience with BenefitPoint, Employee Navigator, and/or ImageRight. Additional qualifications are a plus but not required: Bachelor’s degree or higher. HIA or CEBS designation.
