Position: Leasing Consultant
JOB TITLE: Leasing Consultant
REPORTS TO: Community Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: No
Role Overview Respond to inquiries/leads from prospective clients, identify potential renters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines and provide excellent customer service. Exhibit strong commitment to the service needs of internal and external customers. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under direction of the Community Manager.
Maintain strong understanding of community, local market, competitor specials and floor plans; possess comprehensive knowledge of leasing units and documents per Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines.
Process lease application paperwork for approval and prepare new lease contracts.
Inspect target and/or show units in advance, greet and tour prospects, including vacant/model units and common/amenity areas.
Inspect pre-leased apartments before move‑in and promptly communicate concerns.
Utilize and promote all third‑party online leasing programs appropriately.
Log all prospect information and notifications timely and accurately into Property Management software.
Check, respond to, and document community emails, voicemails, and text messages.
Stay updated with promotion/leasing incentives.
Assist with Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) accurately and within deadlines.
Post notices to vacate and other community communications, if applicable.
Assist with daily community inspections to ensure policies are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
You Have
Previous experience in a customer‑facing/customer service role.
Demonstrated sales and closing skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
State leasing license or ability to obtain required license(s) within the required timeframe.
Work Schedule Monday‑Friday (work schedule may vary). Some overtime may be required.
