Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Press Break Operator to work at our Waggaman, LA location. Press Shop Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining the hydraulic and mechanical press equipment.
Responsibilities
Operate press brake & Plate Roll equipment in accordance with the work order
Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets
Maintain quality standards
Keep work area clean and orderly
Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment
Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
Shifts Available
6:00am - 2:30pm or 3:00pm - 1:30am
Ideal Candidate
Must be able to measure quickly and accurately
Exceptional attention to detail
Basic computer knowledge
Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for long periods of time
Good working knowledge of figures and numbers
Be able to work quickly and efficiently
Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds)
Weekly pay
Competitive hourly pay based on previous experience
