Gutter Installer As a
Gutter Installer
with Suburban Insulation, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing gutters, downspouts, and other related components on residential and commercial buildings. You will ensure that gutters are properly attached to the building and pitched correctly for proper water drainage.
Key Responsibilities
Take accurate measurements of the building's roofline to determine the necessary length and number of gutters needed.
Cut gutters to size using specialized tools, such as a metal saw or guillotine cutter.
Install hangers, brackets, and other support structures to ensure that gutters are securely attached to the building.
Pitch gutters correctly to ensure proper water drainage.
Install downspouts and related components.
Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Role Requirements
Strong knowledge of gutter installation techniques and tools.
Ability to work at heights and on roofs.
Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical Demands A gutter installer performs physical tasks like lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working at heights. The job requires bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Manual dexterity is needed for using hand and power tools to install or repair gutters. Attention to detail and clear communication with team members and clients is essential. Installers work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and must follow safety protocols. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
