JR26\_000395Help grow a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.**Technical Sales and Support Engineer****Location:** Tucson, Arizona (On-site)**Company:** Alicat Scientific**Salary:** $45-60k Annually**What You’ll Do**After completing a comprehensive training program on our products and technologies, you’ll become a go-to expert for customers seeking solutions in mass flow. As the frontline technical advisor and sales partner, you’ll play a critical role in supporting sales conversions and delivering high-level technical support. You’ll help drive revenue by delivering fast, accurate, and insightful assistance that turns inquiries into long-term relationships. Whether you're building quotes, guiding product selection, or troubleshooting complex application challenges, you’ll be the trusted first point of contact ensuring customers get effective help every step of the way.**Sales & Customer Engagement**• Serve as the first point of contact for inbound inquiries via phone, email, and live chat.• Qualify customer needs and recommend tailored solutions that align with their technical and business goals.• Build accurate, application-specific quotes and follow up to drive conversions. • Support OEMs and distribution partners with quoting and technical guidance.**Technical Troubleshooting**• Pneumatics and Fluid Control: Troubleshooting flow instability, pressure regulation challenges, mechanical operations, and chemical incompatibilities.• Communication and Device Integration: Remotely diagnose and resolve complex communication errors by investigating hardware issues (including wiring, power, and signal integrity) and software-based networking problems.**Cross-Functional Collaboration**• Work closely with engineering, production, and marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product alignment.• Contribute to product documentation and marketing content to enhance customer understanding.**Sales Operations**• Accurately enter and manage sales and service orders to ensure smooth processing and timely fulfillment.• Maintain CRM records to support clear communication, order tracking, and customer history management.• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are captured and executed correctly.Application Engineers at Alicat are fast, curious, and customer focused. Success in this role means being responsive, resourceful, and ready to dive into complex challenges with enthusiasm.**What we’re looking for:**• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field.• Detail-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills.• Experience or interest in fluid control, instrumentation, or automation.• Familiarity with one or more of the following fields is a plus: aerospace, bioprocessing, chemistry, environmental science, semiconductor technology, or optical sciences.• Bonus if you’ve worked in technical sales, customer support, or application engineering but not required.**Performance Expectations****Within 3 Months:**• Successfully complete Alicat’s comprehensive product and application training program.• Demonstrate proficiency in core product knowledge and internal tools used for customer management.• Begin responding to customer inquiries with supervision, providing accurate technical and sales support.• Establish working relationships with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Production)**Within 6 Months:**• Confidently support the full product line and handle customer communication independently.• Troubleshoot standard technical issues and provide accurate, timely support.• Collaborate effectively with other teams to ensure smooth customer workflows.• Contribute to revenue growth by converting inquiries into sales opportunities.**Within 12 Months:**• Solve advanced application challenges and support complex customer accounts.• Identify inefficiencies and help coordinate team-wide process improvements.• Set a strong example for peers and contribute to shaping team standards and culture.
