
Annual Giving Director

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Liberal Arts, Education, Business or Communication.
3 – 5 years of experience in direct fundraising including annual giving and donor relations.
Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge preferred.
Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical and planning skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Works with the support of President, Foundation to plan and implement an annual appeal program, with significant independence and creative freedom. Responsible for the coordination of all production aspects of appeals.
Creation and oversight of online giving, email and text campaigns.
Coordinates all aspects of the Heart of Hospice employee, volunteer campaigns and board campaign. Works with Payroll to ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions.
Plans and implements the Spring and Light Up A Life appeals including creation of direct mail pieces, establishing the appeal timeline, and overseeing the execution of the plan.
Serves as an active prospect identifier, discovering prospects for further engagement as appropriate.
Seeks corporate and community sponsors for annual Golf Classic and Path Finders Camp.
Significant donor stewardship and cultivation activities, to include updating the donor recognition boards, as well as annual donor recognition events.
Assists with the preparation of gift and grant proposals as appropriate.
Works with the Marketing/Communication department to maintain the development section of the website and assists with the preparation of development stories for publication.
Assists with the preparation of the Annual Report and the Vision newsletter.
Responsible for stewardship and cultivation of annual Third-Party Events.
Responsible for learning and utilizing technology made available by the agency to increase efficiency, communication and performance of duties.
Attends staff meetings and completes all mandatory training.
Serves as a representative of the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Foundation in the community.
On rare occasions, serves as backup for Development Operations Coordinator to ensure uninterrupted daily deposit operations.
Plays strong role in donor retention and lapsed donor initiatives, including managing the ongoing LYBUNT program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
