Job Summary The Parts Specialist Counter will work closely with technicians and customers on all parts needs. This individual will take and process parts orders, which can be completed in person, over the phone, or on the computer. The Parts Specialist Counter will aid in identification of necessary parts for both internal and external customers. In addition, the Parts Specialist Counter will maintain parts inventory levels and order stock from other company locations as needed. This position will also assist in the warehouse in picking and packing parts orders, making hydraulic hoses, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and placing outside vendor parts orders.

Good computer skills including ability to work in multiple applications simultaneously

Strong attention to detail.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Must have experience with looking up parts using parts diagrams and schematics.

One or more years of warehouse and inventory experience, some of which should be in a mechanical parts environment, preferably with knowledge and experience of CAT heavy equipment and diesel engine parts.

Physical Requirements Lifting/Carrying 40 lbs.; Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling; Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines; Dexterity Normal; Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers; The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
