Event Lead
Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ, Overland Park, KS, United States
Not Your Typical Event Role. This Is Where Execution Meets Leadership
At Jack Stack Barbecue, our purpose is simple: Hope Through Hospitality. Our mission: Create Remarkable Experiences for our guests and for each other.
Through Storia Fine Catering, we deliver elevated, full-service events across the city, where precision, leadership, and hospitality must come together seamlessly in environments we don’t control.
That’s where the Event Lead comes in.
This is not a standard event role. You are not just running service, you are owning the entire event execution.
You are the person who ensures everything shows up, sets up, runs flawlessly, and leaves the client saying, “That was exceptional.”
What Makes This Role Different
You operate as the on-site leader for complex, off-site full-service events
You bridge the gap between culinary, service, logistics, and client experience
You lead teams in environments that are constantly changing
You don’t rely on structure, you create it in real time
What You’ll Do
Lead execution of off-site full-service catering events from load-out through breakdown
Safely operate company vehicles and ensure all equipment, food, and supplies arrive complete and event-ready
Pull and organize all necessary items; equipment, linen, food, and service materials
Direct and lead on-site service teams to ensure seamless, high-level execution
Own timelines, ensuring all load-out, arrival, and service expectations are met
Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, vendors, and clients
Complete and communicate all event prep sheets, notes, and post-event follow-ups
Troubleshoot in real time, solving problems quickly and confidently
Ensure overall guest satisfaction and event success
What You Bring
Experience in catering, hospitality, or event execution (full-service experience strongly preferred)
Leadership presence, you can step into any environment and take control professionally
Strong organizational and logistical thinking, you see the full picture
Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Excellent communication skills with both clients and internal teams
High level of accountability, you own the outcome, not just your role
