Director Of Global Trade Policy & Resiliency

The Director of Global Trade Policy & Resiliency will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy on global trade policy that enhances the company's advocacy, engagement with customers, supply chain resilience, and competitiveness. Based in Washington, DC and reporting to the Vice President, Legal Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, this role will involve proactive policy analysis, federal-level advocacy, and strategic initiatives to identify and mitigate trade policy risks and optimize trade opportunities. The role will work to establish cross-functional readiness and resiliency across Amkor's business and worldwide operations to manage trade regulatory volatility, including ongoing assessments needed in connection with the company's supply chain and customer base. The Director will monitor the evolving global trade landscape, particularly concerning tariffs, critical minerals, and special trade programs to advise senior leadership, manage multi-dimensional trade-related risks, and support short and long-term business continuity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Trade Policy Development:

Develop and implement a multi-jurisdictional trade policy strategy that aligns with business objectives, with a focus on risk mitigation and supply chain resilience in a dynamic geopolitical environment. Policy Analysis and Communication:

Monitor, analyze, and communicate relevant policy, regulatory, and legislative developments in the U.S. and other key jurisdictions (e.g., tariffs, export controls, subsidies, trade agreements) and their projected impact on the company's operations and supply chain to internal stakeholders and executive leadership. Advocacy and Government Relations:

Build and maintain relationships with U.S. and foreign government officials, industry associations, and global counterparts to advocate for favorable trade policies and outcomes. Trade Resiliency:

In partnership with key stakeholder groups, identify and assess supply chain vulnerabilities and dependencies, and develop proactive risk mitigation and optimization programs. Manage customer and supplier inquiries and requests involving trade-related assessments and analyses. Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate trade strategy into overall business planning. Risk Management:

Provide expert guidance on the potential impacts of new and emerging trade regulations and help the company navigate complex regulatory dynamics and minimize disruptions. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Economics, or a related field; Master's or other advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience at the intersection of technology, trade, and supply chain policy, preferably within the semiconductor industry. Expertise in international trade policy processes, including a strong understanding of tariffs, non-tariff barriers, critical minerals policies, and trade agreements. Demonstrated record of achieving favorable policy or legislative outcomes or successfully managing strategic trade initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and policy documents to formulate clear, concise business strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience engaging effectively with government officials and senior executives. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international, and cross-cultural environment. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
