Sales Engineer - Vision Jet

Job Summary Cirrus Aircraft seeks a driven and talented Sales Engineer to join the global leader in personal aviation as we continue expanding our global footprint, product portfolio and operations. The SF50 Sales Engineer will be the primary technical resource for the field sales and marketing, providing technical analyses, competitive analyses, operational expertise, and sales proposal responses. The Sales Engineer will assist in defining aircraft features packaging and pricing, develop product positioning and messaging, communicate the value proposition to key stakeholders, organize and plan the launch of new products through cross‑functional team coordination, assist with demand‑generation ideas and activities, and gather, analyze and report market intelligence. This person will work closely with marketing communications, sales, engineering, design, and global event management. The position is located in Knoxville, TN and reports to the Executive Director, Vision Jet Product Line. This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Understand market needs, pilot feature desires, and technology trends to prepare marketing and sales messages supporting Vision Jet features.

Remain technically savvy regarding competitive aircraft and related technological trends to prepare competitive comparisons for the sales process and company decision‑making.

Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and scopes.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and launch new products, ensuring they meet customer needs and launch successfully.

Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.

Provide timely and accurate sales support, answer customer questions, and generate customer‑specific sales material.

Offer market and feature guidance to product development teams.

Understand aircraft finance procedures.

Create sales tools to help the sales team describe Vision SF50’s value proposition.

Provide turbine operational expertise to customers and the sales team.

Represent Sales and Marketing in the product development process.

Represent the product line to customers and stakeholders through presentations, trade shows, and meetings to gather feedback and promote the line.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business, Engineering, or a related curriculum.

3+ years of experience in the aerospace field in engineering, sales support, marketing, flight operations, or services.

Private pilot certification minimum; commercial certificate with instrument rating and certified flight instructor preferred.

SF50 Type Rating preferred.

Travel required; must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Proficient in computer applications and comfortable learning customer databases, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
