Magnolia Regional Health Center, Corinth, MS is seeking an Internal Medicine Program Director for an established ACGME accredited residency training program. The Program Director will direct, coordinate, and administer the Internal Medicine residency training program and Hospitalist program, consistent with the goals and objectives of Magnolia Regional Health Center and should have an interconnected relationship with the cardiology fellowship program director.
Qualified Candidates:
- Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Current Medical licensure in the state of Mississippi
- Have previous leadership / administrative experience, which includes at least five (5) years as an active faculty member in an ACGME accredited internal medicine residency and three (3) years of graduate medical education administrative experience.
- Be willing to combine Program Director (administrative/teaching) and Clinical Responsibilities (50/50)
- Have strong leadership and team building skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A track record of recent scholarly activity, within the past five years, such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educational organizations.
- Demonstrated willingness to work collaboratively with multiple groups within including hospital administration, nursing, physician colleagues, and GME staff including the DIO.
Candidates with recent scholarly activity such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educational organizations are highly encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have strong team building, interpersonal, and communication skills. Additional characteristics of qualified applicants include adaptability, creativity, as well as enthusiasm for teaching and quality patient care. Candidate should be willing to accept a 5 year commitment to this position.
Compensation Package:
- MGMA salary with productivity bonus potential
