We are looking for a freelance BD expert with deep roots in the HR and/or Learning & Development space - someone with an established network of CHRO, CPO, CLO, VP-level HR, and L&D leaders and a track record of selling into that world. This is a fully remote, flexible, 1099, commission-only engagement designed for someone who wants it that way and is motivated by what they close. What We Sell Nielsen Vaughan offers a unique and proprietary solution: the " Enterprise AI Implementation Blueprint ." It gives organizations the clarity and roadmap they need to move from AI confusion to confident action. Leadership receives a comprehensive organizational diagnostic complete with data visualizations, behavioral analysis, organizational AI maturity assessment, and a concrete action plan. The engagement is scoped for organizations with 50 or more employees and is priced as a single, all-inclusive package. Compensation details are shared with candidates who advance in the process. What You Will Do Identify and qualify prospective clients - mid-market and enterprise organizations with 50+ employees where AI adoption is a current leadership priority Leverage your existing relationships with CHROs, CPOs, CLOs, VPs of People, Heads of L&D, and HR leadership to generate warm introductions and discovery conversations Educate prospects on the Nielsen Vaughan Enterprise AI Implementation Blueprint and build genuine interest in what the engagement surfaces Facilitate prospect access to our proprietary AI readiness assessment as the primary conversion mechanism Own the full sales cycle independently - from first conversation through to a committed buyer Introduce closed clients to Nielsen Vaughan for onboarding and delivery Maintain timely, transparent communication on pipeline activity and prospect status Who You Are A seasoned BD or sales professional with deep roots in the HR and/or Learning & Development space - this is a firm requirement, not a preference 5+ years selling consulting, advisory, HR technology, talent solutions, or learning and development services into mid-market or enterprise organizations An active, warm network of HR and People leaders - CHROs, CPOs, CLOs, VPs of Talent, Heads of L&D - who trust your judgment and take your calls Fluent in the language of organizational transformation, workforce development, capability building, and change management Comfortable running a full sales cycle independently and closing without hand-holding Genuinely curious about and engaged with the AI landscape — you don't need to be a technologist, but you follow what's happening, understand the implications for the workforce, and can speak to it credibly with senior leaders Entrepreneurial by nature - motivated by results, not activity Based in Washington State What You Get Meaningful commission on every engagement you close - structure and rates shared with qualifying candidates Everything you need to be successful: pitch materials, case studies, and a personal assessment link to share with prospects - the tool becomes your most powerful sales asset A proprietary, differentiated solution backed by data from over 225,000 professionals across 70+ countries Fully remote, fully flexible working arrangement with complete autonomy over how you build your pipeline A defined initial engagement with the potential to extend based on results Target Client Profile The ideal prospect is a senior leader - CEO, CHRO, CPO, CLO, or VP of HR or L&D - at a company with 50 to 5,000 employees who has invested in AI and is not seeing measurable returns. They are open to a people-first approach rather than another technology mandate. They have budget authority or direct access to it. Strong verticals include professional services, financial services, healthcare, technology, and retail.
