Social Media Manager Intern

THE ROLE EOA Basketball is hiring a Social Media Intern to help build and grow our brand across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. This is a ground-floor opportunity at a brand with NBA-level credibility, professional athlete partnerships, and national growth ambitions. You won't be doing busy work — you'll be running real accounts, creating real content, and building a portfolio that speaks for itself.

You will work directly Ryan Powell (NBA Player Development Coach) on daily content execution. Your work will be seen by professional athletes, sports agencies, and a growing national audience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Create and schedule daily content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube — posts, reels, stories, and shorts

Manage community engagement: respond to comments, handle DMs, and maintain EOA's voice across all platforms

Assist with content planning using our 30-day editorial calendar

Coordinate with our filmers to organize and deploy training footage from Ryan Powell's sessions

Track platform analytics weekly — followers, reach, saves, shares — and report key trends to Ari

Help manage and grow the EOA email list using Mailchimp — drafting weekly newsletters

Support promotion of camps, clinics, merchandise drops, and subscription community launches

Assist with influencer and athlete content coordination when working with partners like Victor Oladipo

Stay current on social media trends in basketball, sports culture, and the NBA ecosystem

Qualifications

Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO)

Strong Communication and Writing skills

Experience in developing and executing Content Strategies

Basic understanding of analytics tools to measure social media performance

Creative mindset with a passion for sports, especially basketball

Organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines

Experience with design tools or video editing software is a plus

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
