WeDoGood, Lansing, MI, United States
Overview
About WeDoGood
WeDoGood was started when we realised that under-resourced entities are not able to grow due to lack of guidance and skillset. We are enabling growth by connecting them with skilled individuals who guide them and solve their problems. The skilled individuals come from top institutions and corporates with good experience and skillset. We focused on not-for-profits and social enterprises for 4 years and worked with over 1200 organisations across 24 states of India. We are expanding to youth, providing personalised and skilled mentorship within 4 hours leveraging AI and aiming to support 1 crore youth by 2030. Future plans include expanding to small businesses as well. About The Role
WeDoGood is looking for a marketing generalist who can own and execute marketing across the entire organisation. This covers brand building, content creation, social media channels, lead generation for both NGOs and volunteers, and managing community engagement. You will be the go-to person for all things marketing at WeDoGood — this is a hands-on, execution-heavy role, not a strategy-only position. We don’t run paid ads; growth here is driven by organic content, community building, and smart outreach. This is an in-person role from our Bangalore office (Jayanagar), with 4 days in-office and 1.5 days work-from-home.
Responsibilities
Own WeDoGood’s brand presence across all digital channels — website, social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter), newsletters, and blog
Drive lead generation for two key audiences: NGOs who need support, and skilled volunteers/mentors who want to contribute
Create compelling content — social media posts, blog articles, case studies, impact stories, and marketing collateral
Manage and grow WeDoGood’s online communities — engage volunteers, mentors, and NGO partners through consistent communication and community-building activities
Design or coordinate the creation of visual assets (social media creatives, presentations, one-pagers) using tools like Canva or Figma
Support the partnerships team with pitch decks, proposals, and CSR-facing marketing materials
Track marketing performance metrics (engagement, reach, lead generation, community growth) and optimise based on data
Build and maintain a content calendar and ensure consistent brand voice across all touchpoints
Manage external freelancers or interns working on marketing deliverables
Requirements
2–6 years of experience in marketing, content creation, or brand management (startup is a plus)
Strong writing skills — ability to write clear, engaging copy for different audiences and platforms
Hands-on experience with social media management, content marketing, and organic growth strategies
Experience with lead generation through content, community, and outreach (not paid ads)
Basic design skills — can create social media posts and simple collateral using Canva/Figma
Community management experience — comfortable engaging with and growing online/offline communities
Proactive and self-directed — can manage your own priorities and deadlines in a small team
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-output environment (5.5 days, ~50 hours/week)
Nice To Have
Video content creation or editing skills
SEO and email marketing experience
