Job Summary Optimum is looking for enthusiastic, motivated and self‑driven individuals who want to reshape the way people connect. As a Channel Sales Consultant, you will be part of one of the fastest‑growing sales channels in the company, forging powerful connections with customers and partners, exceeding sales targets, and delivering an unparalleled partner and customer experience.
As a valued member of the Indirect Sales team, you will work with customers and partners alike, guiding them through our full suite of Optimum products and services—high‑speed internet, TV, mobile and voice services—to ensure their solutions best fit their needs.
Responsibilities
Prospect and Lead Generation: Identify potential customers in markets throughout the Optimum footprint using valuable leads lists and out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
Partner Support: Process orders for customers on behalf of our partners and ensure that no sale goes overlooked.
Engage and Educate: Approach potential customers with charm and professionalism, enlightening them about the benefits and features of our top‑tier telecom services.
Customized Solutions: Craft tailored telecom packages that meet each customer’s unique needs.
Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest offerings, pricing plans and technology.
Sales Pitch: Deliver persuasive sales pitches over the phone, addressing concerns and objections effectively.
Closing Deals: Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring customers are thrilled and retained.
Documentation: Complete all sales reports with precision.
Relationship Building: Provide exceptional post‑sales support, turning customers into lifelong advocates.
Team Collaboration: Share insights and strategies with fellow sales staff to achieve collective goals.
Targets and Quotas: Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets and quotas.
Compliance: Adhere to company policies, industry regulations and sales practices.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of selling experience.
Effective communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
Proficient computer and technical skills.
Reliable personal vehicle (where applicable), valid driver license, car insurance and a satisfactory driving record.
Physical abilities: sitting, standing, and walking.
Ability to work full time and weekends as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Sales‑centric mindset with a passion for exceeding targets and building rapport with customers.
Extensive product knowledge of mobile and fixed‑line services and current industry trends.
Digital proficiency: comfortable navigating CRM, POS and other relevant software, and embracing new technologies.
