Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support documentation efforts for advanced AI and machine learning platforms. This is a part‑time, contract role ideal for an experienced technical writer who has spent a significant portion of their career working with modern documentation tools, AI‑driven products, and complex technical systems.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of technical writing experience, stays current with the latest documentation technologies and workflows, and is comfortable translating highly technical concepts into clear, accurate, and user‑focused content. Experience within the financial services industry is strongly preferred.

Skills and Requirements
10+ years of professional technical writing experience, with recent, hands‑on work using current documentation technologies
Proven experience documenting AI and/or machine learning systems, including data‑driven or model‑based applications
Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and data science teams
Experience with modern documentation methodologies
Docs‑as‑code, Markdown, reStructuredText, or similar formats
Git‑based version control
Static site generators or modern documentation platforms
Exceptional written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a contract, part‑time capacity and manage deliverables with minimal oversight
Background in the financial services industry (banking, fintech, payments, trading, risk, compliance, or related domains)
Experience documenting systems in regulated or compliance‑heavy environments
Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, or explainability concepts
Experience supporting enterprise‑scale or customer‑facing technical documentation
