About the role
Due to increased demand for localized content in the APAC region, Pixelogic is looking for experienced Odia/Oriya, Gujarati and Kannada subtitling translators and QCers to establish a professional, high‑performing collaboration as part of our language services department with the end goal of servicing our clients’ end‑to‑end projects.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude, and adapt quickly to a fast‑paced environment. In addition, they must be able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads.
Due to the sensitive nature of the delivery schedule, time flexibility is of paramount importance.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the creation and QC review of SDH subtitle files using Pixelogic proprietary cloud‑based subtitling software
Leverage in‑house glossary tool for consistency across products as well as follow client style guide specifications
Handle rejections/make corrections in files
Remain current with industry trends, and adapt to evolving client requirements
Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content.
Requirements
Native speaker of Odia/Oriya, Gujarati, or Kannada with a strong command of English
Familiarity with additional languages is a valuable plus
At least 2 years of experience in subtitling translation and/or proofreading is essential
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines with flexibility in working hours
Skilled at adhering to technical guidelines and style guides across diverse client content
