The
Events Specialist
supports the U.S. events team and is responsible for the coordination and execution of national corporate events, sponsorships, virtual webinars/conferences, and podcasts. The ideal candidate needs to possess strong project management, organizational and communication skills to execute successful events.
Remote Position This is a remote position based out of our various work states listed in the posting.
Responsibilities
Organize and manage program agendas at conferences, including trade shows, industry conferences and Colliers conferences, with oversight by management.
Partner with national departments and service line leaders to deliver world‑class events; orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals and deadlines.
Manage the logistics and execution of all sponsorship deliverables for internal and external industry events.
Coordinate with vendors to source, track and ship branded items and client gifts for tradeshows and events.
Source venues and coordinate client dinners for hosted and sponsored events.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management, including overview of events, internal and external attendance, business metrics, post‑event assessments, and make recommendations for improvements.
Solicit field information and drive content for event‑driven internal and external communications.
Oversee all logistical matters for successful execution of events including marketing collateral, staffing, participant registration process, inventory, shipping, etc.
Travel to and execute set‑up and breakdown for events.
Maintain annual event calendar on all websites and SharePoint sites (U.S., Service Line, Regional if applicable) with current information and content.
Assist in preparing event budgets, and manage expense tracking and payment, with oversight by management.
Coordinate event‑related contract review and execution while adhering to Colliers policies and approval guidelines, with final approval from management.
Coordinate scholarships, including the nomination and selection process to attend Colliers or industry events.
Point of contact for webinars, podcasts and training, as needed.
Travel 20% of the time (some weekends and/or holidays).
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in event coordination, preferably in a corporate setting.
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing or another related field.
Administrative and budget management skills.
Commercial real estate experience is strongly preferred.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite programs.
Exceptional customer service, organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines, handle stressful situations, and work with minimal direction/supervision.
Excellent communication (follow‑through and follow‑up) skills, and ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
Benefits Remote – Various Locations Listed
Approximate salary range for this Role: $66,610 - $85,000 USD.
Employees (and their families) are provided options for employer‑subsidized medical benefits including RX, dental, vision as well as employer‑paid basic life/AD&D insurance and short‑term / long‑term disability. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401(k) plan, which includes an employer match. Employees will also receive 10 days of sick leave and a minimum of 15 days vacation annually. Certain senior‑level roles are eligible for unlimited time off. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year. Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and four weeks (for non‑birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) for paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment. Individuals may be eligible for additional benefits under applicable state law.
This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
