
Technical Writer / Policy Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Writer / Policy Analyst to support our partner’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control Director in researching, writing, and documenting critical audit and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting audit functions and ensuring processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with relevant regulations. This individual will be involved in a variety of functions such as conducting internal audits, documenting findings, coordinating audits, and supporting process improvements.
Major Duties
Conduct internal audits to assess management operations, internal controls, systems, policies, procedures, and compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
Prepare and present detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, corrective actions, trends, and recommendations. Review drafts with clients and finalize for approval.
Advise on improving governance, risk management, and internal controls to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Oversee and manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of audits, ensuring timely completion and identifying corrective actions and root causes of non-compliance.
Contribute to developing standardized audit processes and office guidelines, ensuring the effective application of audit standards. Actively participate in the Quality Assurance Improvement program.
Collaborate with team members to develop quality control measures for audits, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Maintain organized and accurate audit documentation, ensuring compliance with the agency's Records Management Policy.
What We Are Looking For
Strong technical writing experience and ability to produce high-quality documentation.
Demonstrated experience in audit coordination and compliance monitoring.
Familiarity with audit standards and internal control processes.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Proficiency with document management systems and record-keeping practices.
Experience in report preparation and presenting audit findings to clients.
Excellent collaborative skills for working within teams and across departments.

Rate: $33.00/hour.
Length of Engagement: April 15, 2026 – June 30, 2026
Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week.
Location: Austin, TX (78701).
