About This Position The Food Service Director plans, directs and coordinates the activities of running a large food service operation with one or more production kitchens. This position oversees the kitchen's operational and financial responsibilities. The Director supervises an Assistant Food Service Director and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks who are involved with the preparation, serving and clean‑up of food in a secure correctional facility. Other duties are determined by the needs of the business.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age.
Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment.
A valid driver’s license is required.
ServSafe certification.
Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
Basic accounting and mathematical skills to complete necessary reports.
