Corporate Tax Senior Associate
Location: Dallas, TX (75201) | Hybrid (3+ days/week in-office) Compensation: $101,000 $112,000 / year Group: Corporate Tax Solutions The Opportunity A multinational professional services company is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Associate. You will be a key member of their Corporate Tax Solutions family in Dallas, where you will manage business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and complex ASC 740 income tax accounting projects. This is a high-responsibility role for a tax professional who has already mastered the basics and is ready to own the client relationship. You will work alongside our Washington National Tax Office (WNTO) and collaborative team members to support the full scope of our clients' tax functions. Key Responsibilities Engagement Management: Lead client engagements from start to finishincluding planning, execution, and budget management. ASC 740 Mastery: Conduct end-to-end ASC 740 income tax provision engagements, including preparation, review, and audit support. Technical Review: Oversee the accuracy of tax returns prepared by staff; provide actionable recommendations for tax savings and process improvements. Mentorship: Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns; act as the "in-charge" lead on engagements as needed. Client Advisory: Maintain active working relationships with client management, gaining deep insight into their operations, processes, and business objectives to deliver proactive tax services. Tax Research: Consult on various tax matters and leverage advanced software to process complex returns and respond to inquiries from the IRS and state authorities. Required Qualifications (Must-Haves) Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Licensure: CPA certified or CPA-eligible (CPA certification is required for promotion to Manager). Experience: 24 years of progressive corporate tax compliance and/or consulting experience. Technical Expertise: Deep, end-to-end experience with ASC 740 tax provisions (preparation, review, and audit support). Firm Background: Proven experience within a Top 20 Accounting Firm. Stability: Demonstrated history of tenure; we are looking for professionals who avoid frequent job-hopping. Preferred Qualifications Industry Focus: Experience working with multinational client companies (revenue size $100M $1B). Public Accounting: Background in a professional services/public accounting environment is strongly preferred.
