Funatix Events | Bismarck, ND | Leadership Role Build the marketing engine behind North Dakota’s biggest experiences. Funatix Events is a rapidly growing live events, sports, and experiential entertainment company based in Bismarck. We produce some of the region’s most iconic, high‑impact events — Mandan Rodeo Days, The Bismarck Marathon, Red, White & Boom, the ND Governors’ Cup, major corporate festivals, and immersive community activations at the historic Bismarck Depot. The Opportunity We’re hiring a Sr. Marketing Manager to own the strategy and outcomes for marketing, communications, digital growth, and ticket sales across a portfolio of 30+ annual events. This is a senior leadership role — you’ll sit on our leadership team, lead a strong internal crew (Marketing + Comms), and drive measurable growth in attendance, revenue, brand reach, and sponsor value. If you love building systems, scaling campaigns, and turning big moments into packed crowds, this role is for you. What You’ll Own Lead the department Lead, mentor, and develop a marketing team (currently 2 direct reports) Build clarity, cadence, and accountability across planning, execution, and reporting Partner tightly with Sponsorship, Ticketing, Ops, and Executive Leadership to hit growth targets Drive audience growth + ticket revenue Own ticketing marketing strategy for Funatix Events from launch through sell‑out Build segmentation and targeted campaigns (first‑time buyers, repeat fans, VIP, groups, etc.) Create and optimize offers, group packages, and conversion paths that move the needle Build annual marketing calendars and event‑specific launch plans that scale across the year Run strong digital + paid media performance Lead execution across email, SMS, paid social, display, retargeting, and geotargeting Set creative direction and write strong briefs for design/video content Ensure a consistent brand voice across web, social, ads, and on‑site messaging Improve the full customer journey: awareness → conversion → retention Own brand, story, and communications Shape Funatix brand identity and event‑by‑event storytelling Oversee scripts, announcements, PR coordination, and public‑facing messaging Keep tone sharp, human, energetic, and aligned with our EPIC values Manage web, CRM, and conversion systems Ensure our website and event landing pages are accurate, current, and conversion‑optimized Maintain clean customer databases with strong tagging, segments, and workflows Improve UX flow and information architecture across event pages and digital touchpoints Report insights that drive decisions Track performance and ROI across all campaigns Use tools like GA4, Meta Ads Manager, URL tracking, dashboards to optimize Forecast attendance trends and bring recommendations to leadership before problems happen Be present where the brand lives Attend and support key events (nights/weekends as needed) Represent Funatix with media, partners, and community stakeholders Experience 5+ years in marketing leadership (events/sports/entertainment/tourism preferred) Proven results driving ticket sales, digital engagement, and audience growth Strong people leadership: delegation, development, and high standards without ego Skills CRM/email expertise: segmentation, automation, lifecycle marketing Paid media fluency: Meta + Google (TikTok/display a plus) Strong writing + creative direction Analytics confidence: performance reporting, insights, and optimization Working knowledge of AI tools/automations Adobe Creative Suite / Canva a plus Traits Builder mentality — you create systems, templates, and standards Strategic thinker who can also execute with speed Positive, collaborative, solutions‑driven leader Deep respect for community and the magic of live experiences Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary & incentives Health insurance + dental/vision 401(k) with company match (after one year) Flexible PTO Professional development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
