POSITION OVERVIEW
Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Grants Writer for a mission-driven nonprofit. This is a fully onsite role based near Hollywood, FL.
The Grants Writer will lead the organization’s grant-seeking efforts, cultivating relationships with private foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role manages the full grants cycle, from proposal development to reporting, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at building strong partnerships to secure funding.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and oversee all grant-seeking activities, including research, proposal writing, submission, and reporting
Cultivate and maintain relationships with private foundations, corporate partners, and government funders
Track grant deadlines and ensure timely submissions and compliance with funder requirements
Mentor and collaborate with the Grants Coordinator on projects and proposals
Analyze and report on grant outcomes and funding opportunities
Support organizational fundraising strategies and special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated success in securing funding from private foundations, corporations, and government agencies
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and AP style adherence
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple deadlines
Proven ability to collaborate with teams and mentor junior staff
Skilled in using Windows-based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning customized internal systems
