VSB Research Associate - Marketing
Position Summary Information: The Villanova School of Business is seeking 1-2 motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate marketing majors to join our team as a part-time Insights Analyst. This role will function as the expert resource for Qualtrics in the Consumer Insights Lab within the Marketing Department by providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Survey Design and Build, Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data from various sources, including surveys, social media, and market research reports. Execute all behind-the-scenes work to set up and launch student and faculty surveys and disseminate results. Primary support for Competitive Effectiveness course in VSB.
Reporting: Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to the marketing team. Ensure meticulous and accurate completion of surveys by respondents, assist with all troubleshooting related to the Consumer Insights Lab.
Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to support marketing initiatives.
Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and students to support marketing research projects, present Consumer Insights Lab processes to classes of students.
Data Visualization: Develop charts, graphs, and other visual aids to present data in an easily understandable format.
Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to marketing research and data management, administer the Consumer Insights Lab email account.
Requirements
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate marketing major at Villanova University.
Excellent quantitative, interpersonal, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to work independently, strong organizational and time management skills.
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Prolific, R, or similar) is a plus.
Experience using Tableau to clean and visualize data or raw survey code, produce tables and figures a plus.

Physical Demands Summary: Wage Rate: $15 per hour. Posting Number: 20260113V. Hours: Variable up to 15 hours per week, flexible August-May within standard business hours 9am-5pm.
