Job Duties Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation
Collaborate with subject matter experts across reliability, engineering, quality, and manufacturing departments
Gather technical information through interviews, observation, and research
Develop new procedures from scratch using reference materials and existing documentation
Review and standardize documentation to ensure consistency in formatting, tone, and clarity
Incorporate technical drawings, diagrams, and visuals into documentation
Update documentation to reflect process improvements and changes
Ensure documentation meets end-user needs and supports operational efficiency
Edit and revise content for accuracy, completeness, and usability
Maintain organized document control and version management
Support continuous improvement initiatives through documentation updates
Work cross-functionally to ensure procedures align with manufacturing processes
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Engineering, or related field preferred
2+ years of technical writing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience creating work instructions and standard operating procedures
Ability to understand technical drawings and engineering documentation
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Ability to learn complex technical subject matter quickly
Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
